ICF “Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents” together with MHP-Gromadi Foundation conducted training-competition on life safety SAFETY WEEKEND within the national project Safe Country for gymnasium pupils of villages Olianytsia and Chetvertynivka of Trostianets village community.
The aim of the training is to learn about life safety through a playful approach: to follow road safety rules, acquire basic premedical care skills, learn more about benefits of reflective elements, and, in general, contribute to making the country safer.
The task for six children’s teams was to go through 4 locations, following the Foundation’s instructors, and collect the most points for the knowledge they gained.
The ICF instructors guided the children through the locations in an engaging and playful way: “create a poster “My Safe County”; “demonstrate your knowledge of road safety rules”; “talk about the importance of using reflective elements”; “show your premedical care skills”.
Three hours of interesting and useful game, followed by unforgettable emotions for both children and adults, and the awarding of winners with diplomas and cups. Also, all pupils received participation certificates and gifts: reflective keychains, stickers, bracelets…
72 children took part in the SAFETY WEEKEND training.
ICF thanks the MHP-Vinnytsia Poultry Farm and MHP-Gromadi Foundation, and personally Mariana Narozhna and Lesia Turchynska, for the initiative and the support of the national project “Safe Country”.
This is already the third stage of the joint project for educational institutions in the Vinnytsia region. Last year, over 280 pupils gained theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the basis of life safety. So, we continues our collaborative efforts to educate the younger generation!
