On April 12, the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ivano- Frankivsk Region hosted a practical course on the basics of provision of medical assistance for pupils of grades 9 and 11 of the city’s educational institutions.  The event was organized as part of an all-Ukrainian project #_I can_HELP_ you, organized by the International Charity Fund «Assistance to victims of accidents» in cooperation with the Office of Juvenile Prevention of the National Police of Ukraine.

  Children were trained to carry out  ardiopulmonary resuscitation, to help with loss of consciousness, to stop critical bleeding, to provide assistance to the victims as a result of an accident.  After the theory, schoolchildren trained on mannequins: they imposed a ourniquet on bleeding, made artificial respiration, launched a heart rate.

  The participants of the training noted the importance and necessity of this project. After all, school hours, as a rule, are not enough to work out skills, and the ability to save someone’s life is definitely not superfluous.  All children received certificates.
