All-Ukrainian Competition «Young People Vote for Road Traffic Safety»

WE WELCOME THE WINNERS OF THE ALL-UKRAINIAN COMPETITION «YOUNG PEOPLE VOTE FOR ROAD TRAFFIC SAFETY»

On the 17th of January 2019, the results of the All-Ukrainian competition of photo-and video-works «Young People Vote for Road Traffic Safety» were summed up. The competition having been carried out last year in frames of Road Traffic Safety Weeks initiated by the International Charitable Foundation «Assistance for Victims of Accidents» and directed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine supported by the Motor Transport Insurance Bureau, the State Enterprise «Research Institute of Transport Medicine» of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and other interested institutions and organizations.

Among more than 600 works having been received from the May up to the November 2018, prizes were awarded to 15 ones (to 6 photo- and 9 video-works); competition organizers and the board of adjudicators decided these works to be the best ones throwing light upon the road traffic safety thematic, convincing the society about global problems of road traumatism and fatalities and describing the young people aspiration to solve effectively these extremely important problems.

The FINAL WORKS include in particular:

I. In the nomination «Photo-works»:

  1. «One Step = Different Efforts» by Igor Prytaliuk and Yan Krukovski, pupils of the «Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children and Young People with Functional Limitations» of the Desnians’ki restrict in Kyiv-City;
  2. «Don’t Disregard Road Traffic Rules» by Mariya Guliayeva, pupil of the Rybalchens’ki Complete Comprehensive School, Chupakiv United Communal Society , Kherson district;
  3. «Don’t Become a Ghost» by Andri Sovins’ki, pupil of the State Professional Technical School «Khmilnyk Agricultural Center of the United Communal Society» (Khmilnyk-City, Vinnytsia district);
  4. «Your Wheels Size Does not Give You More Rights on the Road!» by Dmytro Borovyj and Vitali Vasiuk, pupils of the «Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children and Young People with Functional Limitations» of the Desnians’ki restrict in Kyiv-City;
  5. «I am Well Visible on the Road» by Oleg Kononets’, pupil of the Nizhyn Education and Training Complex N16, Nizhyn-City, Chernigiv district;
  6. «What a Head-Dress Will You Choose?» by Roman Tomilov, pupil of the Drogobych-City Comprehensive School N10 (L’viv district).

II. In the nomination «Video-works»:

  1. «I Can’t Live without Knowledge», a collective work of pupils of the 1st form, Kherson Specialized School of the I-III Degrees with extended study of natural history, mathematics, and English of the Kherson-City State Administration;
  2. «Road Traffic Rules for Pedestrians» by Volodymyr Dubyna, pupil of the Kherson-City Specialized School N52;
  3. «Road Safety for Disabled Children and Young People», a collective work of pupils of the «Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children and Young People with Functional Limitations» of the Podils’ki restrict in Kyiv-City;
  4. «Road Traffic Safety», a collective work of pupils from the L’viv Comprehensive School N36;
  5. «Don’t Risk Your Neck», a collective work of pupils of the Kherson Specialized School of the I-III Degrees N 30 with extended study of natural history, mathematics, and English of the Kherson-City State Administration;
  6. «Stop!» by Varvara Bondar, pupil of the Municipal Institution «Novodnistrivs’ki Children Creative Activity House», Novodnistrovs’k-City, Chernivtsi district;
  7. «Road Traffic Safety is Our Life Guarantee!», a collective work of pupils from the Novomykholayiv Boarding School of the I-III Degrees, Novomykholayiv, Zaporizhzhia district;
  8. Video-work by Sophia Galyshko, Yuri Popov, and Yulia Leshnivs’ka, pupils of the L’viv Comprehensive School N100;
  9. «RTAer» by Tetiana Mishchyns’ka, pupil of the Rivne Comprehensive School of the I-III Degrees N 20.

Among these works, PRIZES have been awarded to the following ones:

In the nomination «The best photo-work»:

III prize: is awarded to Mariya Guliayeva (8 years old), pupil of the Rybalchens’ki Institution of the Complete Comprehensive School, Chupakiv United Communal Society, Kherson district, having presented the work «Don’t Disregard Road Traffic Rules»;

II prize: is awarded to Roman Tomilov , pupil of the Drogobych-City, Comprehensive School N10 (L’viv district), having presented the work «What a Head-Dress Will You Choose?»;

І prize: is awarded to Andri Sovins’ki, pupil of the State Professional Technical School «Khmilnyk Agricultural Center of the United Communal Society” (Khmilnyk-City, Vinnytsia district), having presented his work “Don’t Become a Ghost»;

In the nomination «The best video-work»:

ІІІ prize: is awarded to Volodymyr Dubyna (14 years old), pupil of the Kherson-City Specialized School N52, having presented his work «Road Traffic Rules for Pedestrians»

ІІ prize: is awarded to Varvara Bondar (12 years old), pupil of the Municipal Institution «Novodnistrivs’ki Children Creative Activity House», Novodnistrovs’k-City, Chernivtsi district, having presented her work «Stop!»;

І prize: is awarded to Tetiana Mishchyns’ka (17 years old), pupil of the Rivne Comprehensive School of the I-III Degrees N 20, having presented her work «RTAer».

A special winner diploma and a prize of spectators’ sympathy was awarded to the video-work «I Can’t Live without Knowledge», a collective work of pupils of the 1st-B form of the Kherson Specialized School N 30 of the I-III Degrees with extended study of natural history, mathematics, and English of the Kherson-City State Administration; this work was elected according to results of an open on-line voting having obtained the majority of votes – 6250 ones.

The final participants and winners were awarded by diplomas and gifts during a ceremonial meeting. Special prizes were prepared for winners having presented their video-works; these participants obtained both certificates and costless training in the field of video- and tele-operator skill during 4 weeks in the SOM School of Media in Kyiv; the winners’ rollers were translated by the First Automobile Television Channel during the February 2019 as a social advertisement.

 

The International Charitable Foundation «Assistance for Victims of Accidents» together with the competition co-organizers greets cordially all the winners wishing them to be in good health and to achieve new inspiration and progress in their further activities.
