SAFETY WEEKEND youth training event will take place on September 19 in Kryvyi Rih

Knowing and following safety rules for the younger generation is extremely important in today’s world. The ability not to get lost in the event of an accident, but to orientate in time, help, protect yourself and others – this is what is really important for adult life. It is always worth learning and practicing skills.

International Charitable Foundation “Assistance to Victims ща Road Accidents” in the framework of the national project “Safe Country” in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Ministry of Health of Ukraine, State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Patrol and Juvenile Police of Ukraine , Motor Transport Insurance Bureau of Ukraine and others begins a series of training events for children and youth on the basics of life safety “Safety Weekend”.

Our goals are:
  • teach children to live by safety laws;
  • road safety: follow the rules of the road, use reflective elements, protective helmets, seat belts when driving on streets and roads, follow the rules of the road on the popular among young people electric vehicles;
  • safety in case of emergencies:  compliance with the algorithm of actions in case of emergencies of man-made or natural nature, military or terrorist threat, mastering the skills of home care;
  • safe learning environment: combating child bullying, cyberbullying and other forms of violence among children;
  • environmental safety:  involvement of young people in landscaping, protection of nature and its resources, promotion of waste sorting and recycling;
  • development of socially active responsible youth and its career guidance;
  • educating the younger generation to live in a safe country, to follow safety rules, to protect themselves and others, to make their country safe for life.
The first in Ukraine “Safety Weekend” will take place on September 19, 2020 in Kryvyi Rih..

The event is supported by the Kryvyi Rih City State Administration and Mayor Yuriy Vilkul, in cooperation with the Donetsk Law Institute.

Structure of the event:
  • opening of the event – with the participation of representatives of the fund, the above-mentioned state bodies and structures, the city state administration, commercial and public organizations, invited guests;
  • work with children and youth at 7 thematic locations:
location 1 – for knowledge of traffic rules;
location 2 – to know the features of wearing retroreflective elements;
location 3 – to know the basics of insurance protection of citizens;
location 4 – for knowledge of the rules of conduct in emergency situations;
location 5 – for knowledge and mastering the skills of home care;
location 6 – for knowledge of environmental safety and environmental protection;
location 7 – on combating child bullying, cyberbullying and other forms of violence.
