Unified National Road Safety Lesson is held every year by the International Charitable Foundation “Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents” and supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine within the framework of the Road Safety Week in all educational institutions of the country. It takes place in a variety of interesting formats in different schools, so that this important topic is remembered by children for a long time. The absence of children from school desks this spring prompted specialists from the Foundation and the Patrol Police of Ukraine to prepare small informative videos, which teachers can use to conduct such a lesson online.
They will be interesting for students of different ages. In particular, it is recommended for juniors to use part I of the lesson – about the most famous road signs and basic rules of behavior of children on the road, which are shared by patrol inspectors. High school students will be interested to learn or remind about the stages of first aid in case of accident, as well as to get acquainted with the technique of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, which is demonstrated in Part II of the lesson instructors in home care Foundation.
“As part of the implementation of the national project “Safe Country”, as a rule, we come to classes and share this knowledge with children, – comments on the development of the video director of the Foundation Inna Olifirenko. – But quarantine is not a reason to forget about safety, especially on the eve of summer vacation. We hope that our materials will be useful for teachers, and will help children to remind once again that safe behavior is the key to maintaining their health and life!
