November 17, 2019 – World Remembrance Day for victims of road accidents, which, on a proposal from the UN General Assembly, is celebrated annually on the third Sunday in November. This day we commemorate and honor the memory of those who, for various reasons, lost their lives in road accidents, we mourn with their families and loved ones.
In the Ukrainian temples of different denominations during the morning service memorial services were held for the victims of the accident. In the years of independence in Ukraine, traffic injuries have claimed the lives of more than 160,000 people! Since the beginning of 2019, 2716 people have been killed in accidents, including 148 children! These terrible figures cripple the fate, grief of families, the loss of the most precious in people’s lives. Let’s bow our heads and pray for those who are no longer with us!
International Charitable Foundation “Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents” expresses condolences to all who lost their relatives in road accidents! We urge you to be mindful of the risks on the road, follow the rules of the road, protect yourself and those nearby!
