Within the framework of the “We Know and Act” project, four more teachers from State institution “Superheroes School” were trained in skills in provision of premedical care for victims in emergency conditions.
On May 30, instructors of the International Charitable Foundation “Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents” conducted training in skills in provision of premedical care for representatives of the educational centre State institution “Superheroes School”, which operates at the City Clinical Children’s Hospital №16 in Kharkiv.
During the class, teachers got acquainted with the basic knowledge of providing premedical care in case of respiratory failure, sudden blood circulation stop, as well as the algorithm for cardiopulmonary resuscitation using an automatic external defibrillator.
We want to remind you, that State institution “Superheroes School” has become a pilot institution for the “We Know and Act project, which is implemented in Ukraine by the ICF “Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents” and Kyiv Interregional Branch of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Research Institute of Transport Medicine” of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Thanks to the project, 56 employees of the educational centres operating at children’s hospitals will receive basic premedical care skills.
From May 16 to 23, the educators have already mastered the theory of the course “Premedical care in case of sudden blood circulation stop in adults” using a specially developed online platform that contains a course of lectures and author’s video lessons.
From May 26, the practical part of the training started, where the first group of school employees – 9 teachers from three educational centres operating in Kyiv region (National specialized children’s hospital “Ohmatdyt”, Municipal non-profit enterprise “Kyiv Regional Children’s Hospital” and health care institution “National Cancer Institute”) – received basic skills.
