ROAD SAFETY WEEK WILL TAKE PLACE IN UKRAINE. ACTION PLAN

As part of the events of the 2nd Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030, proclaimed by the UN General Assembly, the 2nd stage of the All-Ukrainian Road Safety Week will take place in Ukraine from November 13 to 19, 2023.

International Charitable Foundation “Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents” in cooperation with State Enterprise “Ukrainian Research Institute of Transport Medicine” of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine will traditionally join the organization and participation in the events of the annual Road Safety Week.

 

The 2nd stage of Road Safety Week in Ukraine will continue the topic of the 7th Global Road Safety Week that is dedicated to rethinking mobility and creating comfortable and safe conditions for all road users, including pedestrians and users of personal bicycle transport and electric vehicle.

 

In particular, the events of the Week relate to the safety of children and youth on the roads, the relevance of wearing reflective elements in the dark and the ability to provide premedical care in emergency situations.

In cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Foundation plans to hold a traditional annual national lesson on road safety in secondary schools to sum up the results and determine the winners of the 6th All-Ukrainian youth photo and video works competition of the national project “Safe Country”.

 

In addition, within the framework of the Week, a virtual photo exhibition will be held on the Foundation’s website. It includes the best works of this year’s 6th All-Ukrainian photo and video works competition. Also, a photo exhibition will take place offline at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs (in Kropyvnytskyi, Kryvyi Rih and Ivano-Frankivsk).

 

The Foundation traditionally calls on Ukrainians to join the All-Ukrainian charity action to donate blood for the victims of road accidents “Give Blood to Save Lives”, in particular in Kyiv at National specialized children’s hospital “Ohmatdyt” and at Kyiv Municipal Blood Center.
