TRAINING ON PREMEDICAL CARE FOR TEACHERS OF THE “SUPERHEROES SCHOOL” WAS HELD IN LVIV

Within the framework of the “We Know and Act” project, 14 more teachers from the State institution “Superheroes School” mastered the skills of premedical care.

Teachers of the Lviv educational center state institution “Superheroes School” became the third group of educators to master the skills of premedical care in accordance with the educational and training programme of the 1st level training on premedical care within the “We Know and Act” project.

 

The instructors of the International Charitable Foundation “Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents” Ihor Zasadnyi and Orysia Zasadna taught teachers practical methods of providing premedical care in case of sudden blood circulation stop and respiratory failure, as well as the procedure for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

We want to remind you, that State institution “Superheroes School” is a network of educational centres in hospitals in Ukraine. The School become a pilot institution of the “We Know and Act” project, which is implemented by the ICF “Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents” together with the separate division of the Kyiv Interregional Branch of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Research Institute of Transport Medicine” of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

 

At the first stage of the training educators gained access to the online platform of the course “Premedical care in case of sudden blood circulation stop in adults” and mastered theoretical materials through lectures and author’s video lessons.

 

From May, the second stage of the project, practical part of the training has started, where teachers from three educational centres of the State institution “Superheroes School” operating in Kyiv region (National specialized children’s hospital “Ohmatdyt”, Municipal non-profit enterprise “Kyiv Regional Children’s Hospital” and health care institution “National Cancer Institute”) and educational centre in Kharkiv (City Clinical Children’s Hospital №16) – received basic skills.
