The holiday appeared in 1971 at the initiative of the WHO with the support of the International Medical Humanitarian Organization «Doctors Without Borders».The holiday is celebrated on the first Monday in October. This is a day of solidarity and active action of doctors around the world. And although the holiday is unofficial, we once again want to say words of gratitude to people of noble profession for their dedication to the profession, responsibility and endurance.
