Happy Children’s Day, our young friends! Stay safe!
On the occasion of Children’s Day on Sofia Square in Kyiv, specialists of the International Charitable Foundation “Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents” held a master class for young residents of the capital and their parents on home care.
Both infants and adults were happy to practice cardiopulmonary and respiratory resuscitation, stop bleeding, drowning, and other accidents. The children were reminded of the procedure in cases that could endanger human life and health, emergency numbers and what important information should be reported to rescuers.
Why is this important? We make sure that our children always stay safe and that they do not know how to help themselves. This is an extremely necessary knowledge in life, which should be possessed and able to apply in practice by everyone, regardless of age.
Training skills is just one of the safe areas of work with children and youth, which ICF “Assistance to victims of road accidents ” takes care of within the national project “Safe Country”. In addition, we are constantly taking measures to raise awareness of our young citizens regarding compliance with traffic rules and behavior on the road, the mandatory use of reflective elements in the dark, the use of child car seats and seat belts, bicycle helmets, rollers, mopeds, other important rules that will save their lives on the road. Our new training event “Safety Weekend” is designed for children and teenagers, where children in different play locations can try themselves as a driver and rescuer, learn many interesting things not only on road safety, but also on the water. during fires, other disasters, save the planet from garbage and environmental disasters, learn how to fight bullies and defend their rights.
We are pleased that for so many years children have enthusiastically responded to our initiatives, actively participating in events, show their brightest talents, including during the annual thematic competitions of photos and videos, create a safe country with us.
