ROAD SAFETY WEEK: IN UKRAINE BLOOD WAS GIVEN FOR THE VICTIMS OF ROAD ACCIDENTS

During the full-scale war in Ukraine the number of deaths and injuries on the roads, unfortunately, has not decreased. And the need for donor blood during this difficult time has become more critical.

The annual All-Ukraine charity action «Give Blood to Save Lives» under the auspices of the International Charitable Foundation has now acquired a new meaning, taking place within the framework of Road Safety Week on May 23-29, 2022. Give blood to those in need has become a separate humanitarian frontline in in the fight against the enemy.

The International Charitable Foundation «Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents» expresses its sincere gratitude to all Blood Centers in Ukraine, which actively responded to the action as well as to the employees of the department of the National Police of Ukraine, Patrol Police, Police Protection, Judicial Protection Service, Ukrtransecurity, to the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in all regions, to cadets of Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, to all not indifferent donors who selflessly gave blood and its components, filling up necessary supplies, during whole Week.

This act cannot be estimated. According to estimates every third injured in a road accident needs blood transfusion. By engaging in a good cause, donors unwittingly become angels for someone, saving a life.

Nowadays, during martial law, Blood Centers are working in the strengthened mode, so we call on to follow their announcements and to give blood not only within the framework of actions, but also outside them. This is the least that can be done by almost everyone, forcing our common Victory.

TOGETHER WE CAN DO ANYTHING!
