GIVE BLOOD TO SAVE LIVES!
International Charitable Foundation “Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents” calls to join the All-Ukraine charitable project “GIVE BLOOD TO SAVE LIVES!”
Road traffic injuries are one of the most common causes of death in Ukraine.
Every year more than 3,000 people die on the roads; more than 30,000 are seriously injured. Significant blood loss is the main cause of death or serious condition of victims of road accidents. Almost everyone who still has a chance to save needs immediate blood donation.
Doctors noted that there is a serious shortage of donated blood in Ukraine. Blood banks need constant replenishment, today there is a critical need in all its groups. However, only 10-15% of people can donate blood as having no serious contraindications. Unfortunately, even fewer donors are ready to do so. This is a significant problem.

The International Charitable Foundation «Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents», taking care of the needs of those injured in road accidents, is the initiator of the all-Ukraine charity project «Give blood to save lives!», which aims
to assist to victims of road accidents who are in urgent need of donated blood or its components, as well as the promotion of the donor movement in Ukraine.
Twice a year, as part of the All-Ukraine Road Safety Weeks (May and November), the Foundation organizes charity events throughout Ukraine to collect blood for road accident victims, thus drawing attention to the problem of road traffic injuries and blood donation in general.
We are grateful to the employees of the Patrol Police of Ukraine, the Security Police, Ukrtransbezpeka, the Judicial Protection Service of Ukraine, students, and volunteers, who are the most active donors of the action every year. However, this is not enough. Every day, due to severe injuries in an accident, one urgently needs donated blood or its components.
The International Charitable Foundation «Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents» encourages all concerned to join the charity project «Give blood to save lives!» and share the blood with those who need it. We are grateful in advance to those who will become a permanent donor of the project, and to those who agree to donate blood only once. After all, every drop of blood is the price of human life!
Blood can be donated both within and outside the actions at any of the following blood transfusion centers (points), indicating «For road accident victims».
When thinking about the mission of donation, remember: just 10 minutes plus 450 ml of blood will be equal to three lives saved! When saving someone’s life, do not forget, maybe this way someone will save yours.
