On May 18, 2021, the results of the all-Ukraine competition of video works among pupils and students “Be visible on the road”, dedicated to the use of reflective elements for road safety, were summed up. As we have reported, the International Charitable Foundation “Assistance to Victims of Road Accident” was initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine. The competition was held within the framework of the national project “Safe Country”.
In less than two months, the organizers received a little more than 100 videos, which aimed to demonstrate a positive example of the use of children and young people reflective elements – vests, belts, bracelets, pendants, key chains, ribbons, etc. on clothing or vehicles; draw public attention to the importance of wearing reflective elements for road safety.
According to the results of the voting, the jury, which included representatives of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the State Transport Safety Service of Ukraine, patrol and juvenile police units, the Ukrainian Research Institute of Transport Medicine. Ukraine, the company “BIKO”, the Ukrainian Center for Road Safety and others, honorary prizes of the competition took the following works:
I PLACE – video work “SHINE BRIGHT” by the students 3B class Sniatyn Lyceum “Intellect” Sniatyn City Council, Kolomyia district, Ivano-Frankivsk region (class teacher – Taratova Anna Ivanovna);
ІI PLACE was shared by students of two 3rd grades of Rivne Humanitarian Gymnasium: 3D class with the work “Be visible on the road” (class teacher – Kurach Olga) and 3B class with the video “Reflect the light FASHIONABLE!”;
ІІI PLACE also went to two teams of participants: the team of students of the Support Institution “Chutivska Secondary School I-III degrees” Poltava district, Poltava region with the work “Safe way to home” (curator Sokolova Karina) and students 4A class Pochatkova school named after Sofia Rusova, Ivano-Frankivsk City Council with the work “Friend, put on a vest.”
The video work of the students of the secondary school №101 of the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv “Now we are visible on the road” also won in a separate nomination of the
“Independent online voting” competition – for the largest number of votes given to it by the audience – 3134.
The International Charitable Foundation “Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents” as the initiator of the competition decided to mark with separate
special prizes several works that the jury liked, but did not get enough votes:
- “The one who is in a hurry” – video work of students of Kharkiv National Automobile and Road University Andriy Khoroshun;
- “Be noticeable!” – animated video of 10th grade students of Prybuzhanivska Secondary School of I-III grades of Prybuzhanivska OTG, Voznesensky district, Mykolayiv region;
- “Know! Remember! Do!”- the work of pupils of the senior group of the Communal institution of preschool education (kindergarten) №1″ Maliatko”of the Svativka city council, Luhansk region (the head – Zaitseva Nadia).

The International Charitable Foundation “Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents” together with the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, MTIBU and all members of the jury sincerely congratulates these teams with a well-deserved victory! Diplomas and sets of bright reflective elements will be sent to the winning educational institutions in the coming days.
The organizers of the competition express their gratitude to all the teams and their mentors who sent their works to this competition. For active participation and indifference to the topic, each of them will receive a Certificate of Contest Participants and a discount on the purchase of
reflective products from the Fund’s partners – the Ukrainian Center for Road Safety.

The annual all-Ukraine photo and video competition “Safe Country” started in Ukraine on May 17, where this topic was also included. The competition will last until October this year, summing up in November.
