On May 17, the Road Safety Week started in Ukraine. Our country has joined the world community and held a number of events in support of this year’s theme, aimed at safe streets and roads and reducing the speed of vehicles to 30 km / h within residential and pedestrian areas.
The week opens the Second Decade of Action for Road Safety for 2021-2030, approved by UN General Assembly resolution
74/299 at its 74th session last August, with the ambitious goal of reducing the number of deaths and injuries by 50 % by 2030.
