SAFE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT: THE FOUNDATION WILL JOIN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM ON LIFE SAFETY «WE KNOW AND ACT»

International Charitable Foundation «Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents» will join the implementation of the State In-Service Training Program for Teachers of General Secondary Education Institutions «We know and act».

The President of the Foundation Yurii Chornyi informed about this during Live-Streaming Conference «Kyivshchyna: the education of unconquered» which took place under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on August 25, 2022 at the Kyiv Regional In-Service Teacher Training Institute. More than 750 educators from 69 online studios from all over the region took part in the event.

«Safety is now a state priority. Taking into consideration the challenges of the present, an integral part of forming a safe educational environment is mastering skills in providing premedical care, strengthening knowledge in civil protection, mine and fire safety by educators and students. The peculiarity of the course on advanced training is not only practicing by teachers of basic practical actions in case of emergencies, but also the ability to pass this knowledge to children», that Yurii Chornyi pointed out in his speech.

According to him, the Foundation is ready to join the implementation of the Program in terms of practical classes on premedical care for both educators and students, as well as providing educational institutions with the necessary educational and methodological literature.

Yurii Chornyi in his speech also expressed support for the newest state initiative on creation of «safety classes» at educational institutions and gave his recommendations on typical equipment of such classes, in particular, premedical care and road safety corners. By the way, the first such «exemplary» class has already been created, including with the support of the Foundation, at the Municipal Educational Establishment of Kyiv Regional Council «Kyiv Regional In-Service Teacher Training Institute».
