The Ukraine Juvenile Police joined the national project «Safe Country»

The International Charitable Fund «Assistance to the victims of road accidents» will continue joint activities and cooperation in the direction of children’s safety with the Juvenile Prevention Department of the Department of Preventive Activities of the National Police of Ukraine – the relevant Memorandum was signed by the parties on July 22, 2019.

Thanks to the joint project of the Fund and the Juvenile Police in Ukraine, #I_can_HELP_you, which successfully passed this spring, about two hundred adolescents from 15 regions of Ukraine were able to attend emergency skills training courses in case of emergencies and receive appropriate certificates.  The project has played an extremely important educational and vocational guidance role for the younger generation and has also helped to gain important knowledge of the medical assistance that they will need in their  life.

This positive experience has given impetus to further close cooperation between the Foundation and the Juvenile Police of Ukraine, in particular, within the framework of the National Safeholding project, initiated by the Foundation this spring.  Thus, it is planned to carry out preventive measures and classes on the skills of providing first emergency care in the event of emergencies for children who have been in difficult life circumstances;  internally displaced children from eastern Ukraine;  children who witnessed the offenses;  children who are on preventive police records.  Also, within the framework of the cooperation, important work is underway to popularize healthy lifestyles among children and adolescents and to form a responsible attitude towards their own health.

The International Charitable Foundation is also counting on the support of the Juvenile Police in conducting and evaluating this year’s All-Ukraine Youth Photo and Video Competition whose theme is aimed at preventing child injuries and road deaths, as well as countering bullying (harassment) of children in educational institutions.
