The International Charitable Foundation “Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents” received a number of positive responses from the winners of the 6th All-Ukrainian photo and video works competition “Safe Country”, who received diplomas and gifts.

The results of the 6th All-Ukrainian youth photo and video works competition “Safe Country” were announced and this year’s winners were awarded online, so all prizes were sent to the competitors by post. We remind you, that out of more than 1300 works submitted to this year’s competition, 22 prize works from pupils and students all over Ukraine went to the finals.

In particular, pupils from the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions were active participants in this year’s competition. Despite the fact that most educational institutions of these regions continue to work in a distance learning format, it was presented high-quality works and it was demonstrated the creative abilities of young people, who creatively approached the coverage of current security environment issues.

“My video work “Keep your eyes open” aims to draw attention to one of the most relevant problems of the present, and to urge everyone not to be indifferent to their own and other’s safety. The plot for the video was based on a real situation, so I urge you to create and share similar videos, because today your neighbor may be in danger, and tomorrow you may be,” said Marta Karpan, winner of the competition, student of the 18 group of the Separated Structural Subdivision “Lviv Printing College of Ukrainian Academy of Printing”, sharing her thoughts on her video.

Marharyta Kostenko, winner of the competition and student of the 10 A form of the School of I-III levels № 27 of Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, also calls for the creation of socially significant content. Her video work “Your safety is in your hands” created together with her classmate Denys Baralov, won first place in the “Youth for road safety” nomination.

“I am very glad to have taken part in this project and hope that I will have this opportunity next year. I hope that every year more and more students will join the competition, and together we will be able to reduce death rate on Ukrainian roads,” said Marharyta.
