ORDER SAFETY WEEKEND IN YOUR CITY *!
SAFETY WEEKEND ‒ educational training event for children and youth on life safety within the national project “Safe Country”.
It is held in cities and towns of Ukraine in the form of active leisure and aimed at improving the knowledge and skills of children and youth on the basics of life safety – compliance with traffic rules and fire safety, emergency response skills, mastery of home care skills, environmental protection and proper waste sorting, combating child bullying and cyberbullying in educational institutions and other topics related to safety in the modern city.
THE PURPOSE OF THE EVENT is actualization and promotion of safe rules of life in the city, development of socially active responsible youth and their career guidance, establishment of the status THE SAFIER CITY, THE SAFIER LIFE.
Safety Weekend event in each city is organized and conducted by the International Charitable Foundation “Assistance to Victims Road Accident” with the assistance of local governments and in cooperation with representatives of government agencies and local services ‒ patrol and juvenile police, SES, educational institutions, children’s services , families and youth, etc., as well as public and business organizations working in the field of security, insurance and the environment.
7 THEMATIC LOCATIONS
location 1 – for knowledge of traffic rules;
location 2 – to know the features of wearing retroreflective elements;
location 3 – to know the basics of insurance protection of citizens;
location 4 – for knowledge of the rules of conduct in emergency situations;
location 5 – for knowledge and mastering the skills of home care;
location 6 – for knowledge of environmental safety and environmental protection;
location 7 – on combating child bullying, cyberbullying and other forms of violence.
SAFETY WEEKEND, Kyiv, Pushcha Voditsa, ARTEK ICC (August, 2021)
The event marked the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence. Pupils of the
Artek International Children’s Center took part in the form of a team competition.
It was held in cooperation with patrol and juvenile police units of Kyiv, the Main
Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Kyiv, the Ukrainian Research Institute of Transport Medicine, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, BIKO COMPANY LLC, and the NGO «Social Justice «SOVIST», the insurance company «TAS».
SAFETY WEEKEND, Kryvyi Rih (September, 2020)
The first Safety Weekend in Ukraine took place in September 2020 in Kryvyi Rih. Then the event was attended by more than a thousand residents and guests of the city with children. Of the more than 200 young people from KryvyiRih who took part in the training locations, 50 of the most active and knowledgeable were awarded diplomas and prizes.
