ROAD SAFETY WEEK HAS STARTED IN UKRAINE. ACTION PLAN

The annual nationwide Road Safety Week is taking place in Ukraine on May 23-29, 2022. Taking into account the situation in the country, its events will be devoted to road safety under martial law.

Despite military actions, it remains relevant to save all functions in road sphere, to provide basic transit connections, to comply with traffic rules by drivers and other safety requirements for passengers and cargo transportations, quality of driver training and permit to drive vehicles, rapid response of the services to the consequences of road accidents, settlement of insurance claims and other important questions, taking into account peculiarities of martial law.

Preventive work with public continues to be important in order to prevent road injuries and to ensure strict adherence of the rules of safe behavior on the road.

International Charitable Foundation «Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents» as the main co-organizer of the events announces the following events during the Week:

  • traditional All-Ukraine online-lessons and educational classes for pupils on safe road behavior (methodological and video materials, developed with the assistance of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, to prepare for classes are available at the link or on the YouTube channel «Безпечна країна» (“Bezpechna kraina”));
  • nationwide annual charity blood donation campaign «Give blood – save lives» (in all Ukrainian blood transfusion centers in accordance with their requirements and donor’s reception hours)

Pay attention! In the capital, donors are expected at: 12 M. Berlinskoho St. and 26 P. Zaporozhtsia St.

National specialized children’s hospital “OHMATDYT” does not expect donors on Tuesday-Wednesday this week.
