From November 13 to 19, the Road Safety Week will take place in Ukraine. Within the framework of the Week, the International Charitable Foundation “Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents” presents a new video lesson for pupils “Safe Way to Home: the Peculiarities of Wearing Reflective Elements”.

The video Safe Way to Home: the Peculiarities of Wearing Reflective Elements” is the third part of the methodological manual “Safe Way to Home” which has been being adopted by the Foundation from this year to replenish the methodological base for unified national lessons and extracurricular activities on road safety in the educational institutions of the country.

The third part of the manual is devoted to the peculiarities of wearing reflective elements to make pedestrians and cyclists visible in the dark. The new video describes the types and qualitative characteristics of the reflective elements and the recommendations for their use. The lesson also contains the recommendations for deepening knowledge about reflective elements and promoting their wearing among pupils.

We remind you that the Foundation has developed methodological manual “Safe Way to Home” with the aim to prepare and conduct high-quality unified lessons on road safety. In 2023, the adaption of the manual was launched. The first part of the manual devoted to the rights and obligations of pedestrians; the second part devoted to the peculiarities of cyclist’s traffic.

In general, the unified national lessons on the basics on road safety are held twice a year in educational institution as part of the Road Safety Weeks at the initiative of the Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
